Terms of service

These terms apply when you ask Business Console to build or look after a website for your business. By signing a scope or paying a deposit you agree to them.

Who we are

Business Console is run by a sole proprietor based in Mumbai, India. "We" and "us" mean Business Console. "You" means the business that signs the scope.

The service

We build a website for your business from a one-page scope of work (the "scope"), on a private preview link first, then on your domain. We also set up the accounts listed in the scope, such as your domain, email, and Google Business Profile, in your name.

Scope and changes

The signed scope is the agreement on what we build. You get one round of review changes on day 3. Anything outside the scope, including new pages, sections or features, is quoted separately and only done once you accept the quote.

Your responsibilities

You give us accurate business information and only send content (logos, photos, text) that you own or have permission to use. You keep your own accounts and passwords secure; we never ask for passwords. You reply to questions within a reasonable time so the build can stay on schedule.

Payment

You pay a deposit when you sign the scope and the balance before the site goes live on your domain. Until the balance is paid, the site stays on the private preview. If you stop responding for 14 days after paying the deposit, the project closes and the deposit covers the work already done. Refunds follow our refund policy.

Ownership

The website, its content and the accounts set up for you become yours once the balance is paid. The domain is registered in your name. If you leave the care plan, you receive the full site files.

Care plan

After launch, the care plan keeps the site matching the signed scope. Its terms are in our care plan terms.

Security and responsibility

We build with current security practices and run checks before launch. You are responsible for who can access your own accounts, and for the services you choose to run, such as payment, booking and email providers.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits.

Acceptable use

We do not build sites for regulated money services, health data, age-restricted goods, services for minors, high-fraud schemes, legal-advice-heavy services, or political or hateful content. If a project turns out to fall in these categories, we may end it and refund unused fees.

Termination

Either of us may end a project by written notice. Work already done is charged as described in the payment and refund terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Mumbai have jurisdiction.
